Diana Cerini

Diana Cerini is Professor of Comparative Law at the School of Law of Università degli Studi di Milano Bicocca (Italy), where she is in charge of the courses of “Comparative private law”, “Comparative law of BRICS and EU” and “Business and consumer contracts in global perspective”. Her academic role includes the coordination of international activities for the School of Law and the Program of Legal Clinics. She co-directs the Summer School on Food law at Bicocca University, and she is part of the Scientific Committee of the LLM in Sport Law. She has been visiting scholar in several universities in Europe and abroad. She has extensive experience in international research on insurance and banking law specifically, as well as in tort law and product liability. Member of AIDA (the International Association of Insurance Law), she is the member for Italy of the international PEICL Project (Principles of European insurance Contract Law) and the PRICL Project (Principles of reinsurance contract law). She is also part of the scientific committee for the Cours de diplôme en droit des assurances at Institut de droit des assurance, Université Paris Dauphine. She is involved in international research projects concerning food law, especially with reference to liabilities and risk managements, as well as in connection with animal and environmental law.
