Comparative Private Law

The course held by Prof. Alonso, Babusiaux, Hadžimanović and Heiss will introduce students to the methods of Comparative Private Law. In doing so, the course will present topical examples of Comparative Private Law in the field of Contract Law, Property Law and Consumer Protection Law.

All course materials as well as further information is published in Olat. Therefore, please enroll in the course: Comparative Private Law HS 2020

The classes will be taught according to the schedule and will be taught over Zoom. The meetings and the password are published in the subpage "Zoom Meetings". While we would like to encourage all students to participate in the meetings, the lessons will also subsequently be uploaded as a podcast to ensure that all meetings can be seen by every participant.

The students will need to read the book written by Michael Bogdan, Concise introduction to Comparative Law, 2013; ISBN 9789089521255 (and the additional reading material published for each lesson, cf. 1).
