Application for the Double Degree Master's program

Step 1: Enrollment at the University of Zurich

Before applying to a Double Degree Master's Program, students must first be enrolled in the Master's program:

Step 2: Application for the Double Degree Master's program

Once students have been accepted by the University of Zurich, they must submit their Double Degree Master's application online.

Application deadlines:

Applicants with foreign qualifications, who require a visa for Switzerland are advised to apply between 1 and 31 July.

All other applicants are required to apply between 1 July and 15 August.

Admission criteria

According to § 3 para. 2 StudO DD RWF, admission to a Double Degree Master's programme is determined by suitability. The following criteria are decisive for the selection process (§ 3 para. 3 StudO DD RWF):

  • Academic achievements,  
  • Knowledge of the language of instruction,
  • specific study motivation,
  • additional qualifications relevant to studies and
  • special admission requirements of the partner faculties

The minimum requirements are as follows:

  • Generally the minimum average Swiss grade of 4.7 (subject to specific requirements of the partner universities) and
  • Bachelor of Law degree within 5 years.
