Daniela Kühne studied law at the University of Zurich and the Humboldt University in Berlin. Following her studies, she worked for the Committee of Legal Affairs and Human Rights of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg. Since four years, Daniela Kühne works as a research assistant in international law at the University of Zurich. This position has allowed her to become involved in several international research projects, including the organization and editing of projects together with Yale University, counselling in a case before the European Court of Human Rights and participation in a research project of the Hague Academy of International Law. Additionally, Daniela Kühne has been teaching tutorials and some lectures in international law at the University of Zurich for three years. In 2010, she was recruited by the Swiss Federal Department for Foreign Affairs (EDA) to provide an expert opinion on the reform process of the European Court of Human Rights. Daniela Kühne’s expertise lies in Swiss Public Law, Public International Law and Philosophy of Law. In addition to her appointment at the University of Zurich, she is also the author and editor of various publications in these fields and is currently finishing her PhD in Public International Law.
