Food Law Academics Network (FLAN) Conference "Food Law for a Healthier Future" at the University of Neuchâtel
On 15-16 May 2025, the third Food Law Academics Network (FLAN) Annual Conference - Food Law for a Healthier Future - took place at the University of Neuchâtel.
Over two days, we welcomed more than 60 researchers from around the world to reflect on the role of law in shaping healthier and more sustainable food systems.
With rising concerns around food safety, nutrition, food security, and environmental impact, legal frameworks are increasingly critical in shaping healthier food systems. This conference aimed to foster discussions on how law can address these challenges and drive change across sectors, with a focus on regulatory innovations, cross-border policy implications, and interdisciplinary approaches to build resilient food systems for future generations.
The event was coorganised by Prof. Mélanie Levy (University of Neuchâtel) and Dr. Marie-Hélène Peter-Spiess (University of Zurich).
