- Roman civil law, in particular the law of enforcement, procedural law and inheritance law
- Interactions between Roman provincial law and imperial administration
- Juristic papyrology (Ptolemaic and Roman eras)
- History of legal doctrine, in particular modern Swiss obligations law
- Ideological use of Roman law in legal policy discourse
