Research/Doctoral Assistance Positions

I. General

Prof. Darbellay's chair is part of the Commercial and Economic Law department at the University of Zurich and focuses on banking and capital market law.

II. Responsibilities

As research assistant your responsibilities involve assisting with research and publication projects, as well as supporting teaching and administrative tasks for the chair.

For research and publication activities, you will primarily support Prof. Darbellay by providing scientific research assistance. In the area of teaching, you will have the opportunity to prepare and give colloquia once a year. Administrative tasks include maintaining the chair's website and managing the chair's email account.

III. Profile

You are a highly motivated individual with outstanding academic records and strong language skills (fluent in German and English; knowledge of French or additional languages is of advantage). In addition, you are meticulous, precise, and independent in your work, a team player, and have strong organizational and IT skills. An interest in commercial and economic law is required.

As a doctoral assistant you have already obtained a master’s degree and are considering writing a PhD thesis in one of the chair's areas of specialization.

As a research assistant you have already obtained your bachelor’s degree or will be obtaining it shortly and consider a part-time position as a research assistant.
