Zürcher FORUM zur Staatsleitung (ZFS)
Governance Laboratory
“Governance is the cooperative and coordinated action of the government and parliament aimed at the purposeful development of the state.” As part of the elective master’s module on governance offered at UZH—which is designed around this definition—the Zurich FORUM on Governance serves as a laboratory for topics related to governance.
The Zurich FORUM on Governance (Zürcher Forum zur Staatsleitung, ZFS) publishes articles in a series of position papers by well-known figures who have been or are involved in state governance or have close ties to it. The articles, which are based on practical experience and contain substantiated theories on Swiss government (at federal and cantonal level), help students in the related lectures in the master's program and in seminars to engage with aspects of governance from an academic perspective and to analyze developments at federal and cantonal level.
Advisory board: The advisory board of ZFS is responsible for the further development of the forum. The students are involved in selecting the authors. It consists of the following individuals and is led by the lecturer of the "Staatsleitung" course:
