The University Attorney as an organ of disciplinary administration
The University Attorney investigates violations of university regulations. Such violations listed in § 10 of the Disciplinary Regulations include, among others, examination fraud, in particular the submission of plagiarized work, disruption of classes and of the university’s operations, obstruction of persons working at the university, violations of university rules, and misuse of identification documents or benefits.
Responsibilities of the University Attorney
According to § 2 of the Disciplinary Regulations, all enrolled students, visiting students (auditors), doctoral candidates, and other persons subject to examinations fall under the disciplinary authority of the University Attorney. The University Attorney is not responsible for actions by other persons. In cases of academic misconduct by academic staff, for example, the faculty ombudspersons are the appropriate contacts.
