Comparative Private Law (MLaw)
In autumn semster 2026, the course "Comparative Private Law" will be offered. This course will introduce students to contemporary concepts and methods of comparative law. It will illustrate the functions of comparative law by examples taken from various systems of law as well as sources of uniform law. There will be different lecturers during the course, speaking about varying topics and subjects related to Private Law. Prof. Dr. Johannes Liebrecht will give four lectures on this course (03.11.2026, 10.11.2026, 17.11.2026, 24.11.2026).
The lecture will take place in person. In addition, the lectures will be recorded as podcasts, which will be published shortly after each session. Please note that it is not advisable to rely soley on podcasts, as technical disruptions may occur.
All materials (powerpoint slides, further reading) will be published on OLAT.
