Visiting Professorships Fall Semester 2026

Eyal Zamir is Augusto Levi Professor of Commercial Law at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He previously served as Dean of the Faculty of Law and was the founding director of the Aharon Barak Center for Interdisciplinary Legal Studies and a founding member of the Center for Empirical Studies of Decision-Making and the Law (I-Core). He held visiting positions at Harvard Law School, Yale Law School, NYU School of Law, University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, Georgetown University Law Center, UCLA School of Law, USC Gould Law School, University of Zürich, and the Max Planck Institute of Economics in Jena.

Zamir’s research interests include economic and behavioral analysis of law, empirical legal studies, contract law and theory, and normative ethics and law. He authored 14 books, edited 6 books and conference proceedings, and published 96 articles. Of his 14 books, 4 are in English, all published by Oxford University Press. His articles were published in leading journals, including the Columbia Law Review, University of Chicago Law Review, California Law Review, Virginia Law Review, Texas Law Review, Vanderbilt Law Review, Journal of Legal Studies, Journal of Empirical Legal Studies, American Journal of International Law, American Journal of Comparative Law, European Journal of International Law, University of Toronto Law Journal, Law & Social Inquiry, Organizational Behavior & Human Decision Processes, and Public Administration Review.

Zamir presented his work in numerous conferences and workshops, including the annual meetings of the American and European Law and Economics Associations and the Society for Empirical Legal Studies.

Zamir has been awarded many fellowships and prizes, including the Fulbright Researcher Award; the Rothschild Fellowship; the Hebrew University President’s Prize for Excellent Young Scholar named after Y. Ben Porat (first recipient); the Zeltner Prize for Senior Scholar; and the Justice Shneor Zalman Cheshin Prize for Academic Excellence in Law for Senior Scholar.

Adolfo Andrés Wegmann Stockebrand is Full Professor of Civil Law, Roman Law, and Comparative Law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in Santiago. After completing his legal studies at the same institution, he pursued doctoral studies at Heidelberg University as a DAAD scholar and graduated with highest distinction (summa cum laude). In addition to his academic work, he serves as an arbitrator and legal expert.

His research and teaching appointments have taken him to numerous renowned universities and research institutions in Europe and the Americas, including Heidelberg University, Freie Universität Berlin, the Max Planck Institute for Legal History and Legal Theory, the University of Milan, the University of Trento, the University of Bern, the University of Lisbon, the University of California, Berkeley, the University of Notre Dame, and the National Autonomous University of Mexico.

Wegmann Stockebrand is Vice President of the Chilean Association of Comparative Law (Red Chilena de Derecho Comparado) and a member of several national and international scholarly societies. He also serves on the advisory boards of academic law journals.

His research focuses on Roman private law, particularly the law of obligations and property law, Chilean civil law, and the theory and methodology of comparative law. He has participated in several publicly funded research projects, published around 50 scholarly works, and delivered numerous academic presentations throughout Europe and Latin America.

Doctor of Laws (University of Buenos Aires), Master in Private Law (University of Paris XII), and Judge of the National Court of Civil Appeals.

He is a Full Professor (Chair) of "Civil Law: General Part" and "Civil and Commercial Obligations" at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) School of Law, and a postgraduate professor at several universities in Argentina and abroad.

He serves as the Director of the Master’s Program in Private Law and Deputy Director of Doctoral Studies at the University of Buenos Aires School of Law.

Additionally, he has been a guest speaker and visiting professor at various academic institutions and universities across Argentina, Latin America, North America, and Europe.

He is a member of the International Academic Council of the Fondation pour le Droit Continental, as well as the Civil Law Institute of the National Academy of Law and Social Sciences of Argentina and the Argentine Association of Comparative Law.

He was a member of the committee that collaborated with the Reform Commission in drafting Articles 1708 to 1780 of the Argentine Civil and Commercial Code, and served on the Commission for the drafting of the Draft Consumer Defense Code (Proyecto de Código de Defensa del Consumidor) under the National Secretariat of Commerce.

He is the author of several books and numerous publications in specialized journals and legal texts, both domestically and internationally.

Prof. Joonyoung (Paul) Park has been Professor of Business Law and Commercial Law at the College of Law of Gyeongsang National University (GNU) in Jinju, South Korea, since March 2023. From January 2024 to December 2025, he served as Associate Dean of the College of Law. His teaching portfolio includes courses in antitrust and competition law, general commercial law, and corporate law.

Prof. Park received his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Seoul National University (SNU) in 2012 and subsequently pursued graduate studies at the SNU Graduate School of Law, where he earned his Master of Laws in 2016 and his Ph.D. in Law in 2019. In November 2019, he was awarded the Excellence Research Award by the Hong Jinki Legal Research Foundation for his doctoral dissertation. As a DAAD fellow, he spent two months as a visiting researcher at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany, in 2018. Beginning in September 2019, he worked as a Senior Researcher at the Competition Law Center of the Seoul National University Law Research Institute (SNU CCL). From August 2020 to December 2021, he served as a Research Fellow at the Korea Fair Trade Mediation Agency Research Center, before returning to the SNU CCL from January 2022 to February 2023. In April 2024, he received a Chairman’s Award from the Korean Fair Trade Commission (KFTC), and in August 2024, he was honored with the Pioneering Lecture Award, Gyeongsang National University’s teaching excellence award. Since 2026, he has served as a member of the Advisory Committee of the Korean Fair Trade Commission, providing expert advice on a range of practical competition law issues.

His research focuses on antitrust and competition law. He examines contemporary issues such as the digital economy, online platforms, data governance, and generative artificial intelligence, as well as more traditional topics concerning the objectives, functions, substantive rules, and enforcement of competition law. He has participated in numerous research projects for the Korean Fair Trade Commission, with a particular emphasis on comparative analyses of European Union and German competition law.
