Jahresbericht2016

This year, we will remember the 4th Zurich Foundation Law Day on June 17, 2016, which brought together numerous experts in foundation law and sparked lively discussions. In 2016, we also published many articles on the exciting developments in Swiss and international foundation law. We are particularly pleased about the W. Rainer Walz Prize, which was awarded to Dr. Matthias Uhl for his dissertation “Cooperation in Foundation Law.” We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks to the team and all friends and supporters of the Center who have contributed to and promoted this welcome development.

Jahresbericht2015

The transnational exchange of ideas on foundation and trust law shaped the Center's agenda in 2015. An unprecedented number of lectures and events in Switzerland and abroad, aimed at a wide range of audiences, facilitated lively discussions and new contacts. The appointment of Dominique Jakobs to the International Academy of Estate and Trust Law also laid the foundation for an even more international orientation of the Center.

Jahresbericht2014

The Center for Foundation Law at the University of Zurich can look back on a successful 2014. Not only were numerous exciting projects successfully completed, but the Gebert Ruf Foundation was also secured as a funding partner for a funding period of approximately three and a half years. In this way, we are seeking to contribute to the further development of the legal foundations of the foundation sector in both academic and practical terms, to strengthen trust, and to shape the future of Switzerland as a foundation location.
