You do not need any access before the first course unit. Prior preparation is not necessary.

Tort Law (BLaw)

Content: General principles of non-contractual liability law, in particular fault, simple causal and strict liability.

Haftpflichtrecht, Zürich/Basel/Genf 2013 (2. Aufl.)

Content:

The course deals with questions from the general and the special part of private international law. Legal acts that make up transnational private law in the broad sense, such as the Vienna Sales Convention (CISG), will also be discussed.

Literature:

Text edition on international private law (including the corresponding international treaties) of your choice, e.g. Loacker, IPR/IZVR, Schulthess Verlag, 4. Aufl. 2025.

Likewise, a textbook on the subject of the lecture, e.g. Schnyder, Internationales Privat- und Zivilverfahrensrecht, Schulthess Verlag.

Exam: Written exam in spring semester
