Measures to compensate for disadvantages

Measures to compensate for disadvantages

Students with a medically certified disability or a chronic illness should contact the  Disability Office.

The Disability Office will examine whether or not and if so to what extent measures to counter the effects of the disability or illness are possible (cf. § 25 of the Ordinance on Admission to Studies at the University of Zurich [OAS]). For information on how to register with the Disability Office, please refer here.
If you receive a positive decision from the Disability Office, you can submit an application for compensatory measures for assessments to the Legal Office of the Dean of the Faculty of Law by e-mail by the end of the module booking period at the latest (§ 9 RVO RWF, § 23 StudO RWF). Requests submitted later cannot be considered for organizational reasons.
Applications for compensatory measures must be submitted anew for each semester. Especially if you are applying for compensatory measures for the first time, the registration and application process takes a lot of time. We therefore recommend that you initiate the evaluation process with the Disability Office early (if possible at the beginning of the semester).

If you have any questions, please contact the Legal Office of the Dean.
