Events

Through its conferences and continuing professional development events, the CIRR aims to provide a forum for academic exchange within the university research community, as well as for dialogue with legal practitioners. The focus is on current legal developments, fundamental issues and new academic findings, which are analysed, contextualised and explored further from a variety of perspectives.

This exchange, initiated by the CIRR with and amongst experts from academia, the judiciary, public administration and legal practice, helps to promote legal research to a wider audience and generate new impulses for the further development of law.

With this in mind, we organise a wide variety of events – both recurring and topic-specific – at the University of Zurich and warmly invite the interested public to attend (usually free of charge). Our flagship events include, for example, the annual DTV (DACH Conference on Insurance Law) and the International Law Day.
