SRIEL
The Swiss Review of International and European Law (SRIEL) is Switzerland’s longest-established journal on issues relating to private international law, procedural law, international law and European law. Its history dates back to 1944.
Since 2026, Prof. Dr Loacker has been Chair of the journal’s editorial board. Since then, the coordination of the related tasks has been carried out here at the CIRR in collaboration with our Editor-in-Chief, Dr Christina Neier. The other members of our editorial board are: Prof. Dr Christine Kaddous, Prof. Dr Robert Kolb, Prof. Dr Christa Tobler, Prof. Dr Oliver Diggelmann, Prof. Dr Lorenz Langer, Prof. Dr Andreas Ziegler, Prof. Dr Maria Ludwiczak Glassey and Prof. Dr Andreas Furrer.
Published by the Swiss Association for International Law (SVIR) and produced by Schulthess, the journal appears four times a year and also regularly includes special issues devoted to specific thematic areas.
In addition to fundamental doctrinal articles, the journal, supervised by the CIRR, features in particular case law and practice reports from the following areas:
- Private international law and civil procedure, including international arbitration
- International law and human rights practice
- European law, with particular emphasis on EU-Switzerland relations and EU competition law
- Case law of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) of the United Nations in The Hague
- International criminal law
- Law of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) in Geneva
- Law on the international sale of goods (CISG)
All of this in a total of four languages: German, English, French and Italian.
The CIRR is delighted to be able to actively support and promote the further development of this key voice in international law.
